Reviving a Personal Style

Back in the “ancient times” of my life, I developed a style I used at times, primarily when I was working with acrylic paints. I called it the “stained glass” look. Of course, it can work quite well when I’m using the colored ink pens, too.

To try it out again, I decided to experiment with a sunset over water, working from a photo reference. I was pretty satisfied with the results.

I shall be doing more of this style. It’s a fun challenge, since part of it is to avoid too many curves in the color blocks.

About Sarah

Now residing in Las Vegas, I was born in Michigan and moved to Texas when 16. After getting my Masters degree in English, I moved to Hollywood, because of the high demand for Medievalists (NOT!). As a freelance writer and editor, I found Nevada offers better conditions for the wallet. I love writing all sorts of things, and occasionally also create some artwork.
