The attached PDF file is a writing sample comic book script that I wrote a few years ago as an experiment. I was learning to handle the differences in a comic book script from those of a screenplay. The story of Batman working with the Black Canary (and her partner Oracle) amused me.

Since the time of writing, the story has been pitched to the editors at DC Comics. They passed on this particular tale, but I (and certain friends) still find it entertaining. So I offer it up now as a writing sample.

As well, should there be aspiring comic book artists out there on the internet, they are welcome to use portions of this completed script to develop their pages and panels for portfolio review. All I as is that should any artists use it in such a fashion, that they include a note on their pages "From a script by Sarah Beach". I'd also be interested in seeing scans of the completed work, if possible. Please let me know by way of leaving a link on my message board.
