New Art After A Break

It’s been several months since I last worked on any artwork. Part of that was simply the return to Los Angeles taking up a lot of my attention. And then there was the “settling in” to new patterns in my life.

But lately, I’ve been missing the outlet of doing some artwork. So, this week, I tackled some.

I had had this piece sketched out for a while, but just hadn’t tackled the actual coloring. The image is from a photo I took at Huntsville State Park in Texas years ago.

I always liked the eye-hole view through the end of the log. But this piece was too small to make very much of that view. Still, all in all, I’m pleased with the results. Especially after a break of six months.

About Sarah

Now residing in Las Vegas, I was born in Michigan and moved to Texas when 16. After getting my Masters degree in English, I moved to Hollywood, because of the high demand for Medievalists (NOT!). As a freelance writer and editor, I found Nevada offers better conditions for the wallet. I love writing all sorts of things, and occasionally also create some artwork.
